Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde: Scene Dub

⚠ STUDENT WORK NOTICE

This is a student exercise made for coursework at SCAD, not a commercial release and not an official product.

The picture, dialogue and music belong to their respective copyright holders and are used here only to demonstrate my sound work. The edit is mine, not the recordings. The original effects track was muted completely and rebuilt by me. The selection, layering, syncing, processing and mix are all my work. The individual sounds themselves come from commercial sound-effects libraries and other existing sources. I am not claiming to have recorded them.

No claim of ownership is made over the source material, and this is presented for educational and portfolio purposes only.

Dialogue Replacement

A scene from Legally Blonde with the dialogue replaced by me and my classmates, recorded and cut to picture. Dialogue only. The effects and music are the originals. Recorded through an SSL preamp to a Sennheiser shotgun and a lavalier.

Watch it

The finished cut did not survive.

This one is older and the exported video could not be recovered. What did survive is the process documentation, which is below.

Inside the Pro Tools session

Screenshots of the actual session, so you can see how the work was organised and how dense the edit got.
